At Generations For Life, our mission is to provide a safe and stable environment for Jewish women transitioning from a higher level of care and give them the skills and tools they need to live autonomously in the real world. Generations for Life is a home that reawakens hope, a home where each day opens new possibilities.
Women who suffer from addiction, depression, trauma and other mental illness face a precarious time when they are ready to leave treatment and rebuild their lives. Who will support them? Where will they live? Who will guide them as they relearn independent living skills? Although they are more than ready to move on from intensive, round the clock treatment, too often moving into an apartment alone, with no support system, sends these women right back to their low point that they worked so hard to overcome. After hearing more than enough stories like this, we realized there was simply nowhere for supportive independent living in the Jewish community. Thus, Generations for Life was born; the first and only home of its kind for frum women.

All of our staff members are handpicked and devoted leaders who specialize in recovery. They support and coach our residents, helping them through their daily struggles and celebrating their triumphs.
A safe and stable environment is necessary for healing, but we go further to create a loving and nurturing place that women can really call home, aiding them in achieving sustainable health and continued progress.
We believe that close relationships, personal fulfillment and a feeling of family are not just nice extras, they are actually essential to achieving sustainable health and continued progress.
In addition to providing a welcoming home-like residence, Generations for Life connects Jewish women to treatment and therapy options, individualized support, and other resources to promote increased independence. We offer affirming encouragement in the face of everyday challenges, helping our residents navigate returning to the workforce and provide access to tools for living successfully as they recover from mental illness and addiction.
